Traina portraits newborns of 2008 {oklahoma city portrait photographer}

As the year closes, I wanted to take a look back on all the precious babies born in 08 that I was able to spend some time capturing. Babies change so quickly, in the first couple of weeks, and I want to thank all of the Moms and Dads for allowing me to be a part of documenting this stage in your little one’s live. The little ones here are all under two weeks old, and some only a few days old.

Happy New year everyone

coldest engagement session ever {oklahoma city wedding photographer}

We started out the day at 60 degrees, and by the time the session was ending, it had dropped 30 degrees. Definitely one of the most challenging jobs ever, but Brandi and Ty were like pros, and rose to the challenge.
Instead of cancelling and trying another day, they depended on good old fashion body heat as well as a stunt coat provided inbetween shots.

My cousin! {oklahoma city portrait photographer session}

We hadnt seen each other for years. I have so many memories of when we were little, having sleepovers, christmas at great-grandmas house. Over the years, I moved out of state, we lost touch.  I was so excited when I heard from her and she wanted to come here to see us, and get some family pictures. We met her babies for the first time, and boy are they gorgeous! Our kids bonded so well with their cousins. It was a really nice day.

Anyway, here are some of my favorites from a really fun shoot.

We Love you Christiane, Erin, and kiddoes!

baby lane {oklahoma city newborn photography session}

This session was close to home..literally. My dear next door neighbors welcomed their sweet baby into their home, and I was able to come over and do a little session. He is my first little blondie newborn, and it really was really fun. He was almost two weeks old, but he still slept, and squished up like a champ.
Welcome to the block Lane :)

so tiny

Just under 6 pounds, Lennon was incredibly sweet, and curly. I think he really must have enjoyed being in front of the camera, because he let us do whatever we wanted, without making a fuss. I truly enjoyed spending yesterday morning with this sweet family.

Brothers

I had such a nice time yesterday with these sweet kiddoes. Our session started out as a newborn shoot, and ended up with big brother stealing the show. He was so full of personality, loved his new baby brother, and was full of kisses.
Thanks for letting me come an enjoy your family!

“touchdown!”

just amazing

I was so humbled, and honored to be asked to document the birth of Brian and Elizabeth’s first baby this past month. Amazing, is such an understatement.  It was a long 13 hour day, but wow, what an experience.  I almost have no words.

I have put together a little slideshow from the day, still brings tears to my eyes when I remember the emotions, and joy on that day.

This week I was asked to come and do their newborn portrait session. Here are some images from the day.

couldn’t be much cuter

I blogged a couple months ago with some maternity pictures of fellow photographer Miranda from http://mirandakitchen.com/ Today I was able to go and do a little shoot with her new baby. He is really precious, and he did such a great job for us.
Thanks Miranda for letting me come over and spend time with you all!

Sisters

My friend’s little girls spent the weekend with us, and I was able to spend a little time with each of them. We giggled, picked flowers, and enjoyed the sunshine.

Jamie and Tim 09-20-08

Jamie & Tim couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, or a more beautiful wedding. Their day was filled with tremendous fun throughout the families & bridal party. The wedding was held at Our Lord’s Community, and offered an amazing environment for all our photos. The flowers were provided by The French Tulip, and dress by Nicole Miller, all bringing together the amazing moment when Jamie & Tim first saw each other. The newlyweds were then whisked away to The Waterford for dinner, dancing, and celebrating with all their friends & family.
